Oak Haven Massage is a family-owned therapeutic massage practice founded by Dr. Steven Shuel in November 2005 in San Antonio. We have grown from a single location to six facilities across the Austin and San Antonio metropolitan areas. What to Expect
For most massage services, you will undress to your comfort level and be draped with sheets throughout the session. For Thai Massage, wear loose, comfortable clothing such as athletic pants and a t-shirt, as you remain clothed during treatment. Reflexology requires no undressing beyond removing shoes and socks.
Upon arrival, you will complete a brief intake form documenting your health history and current concerns. Your therapist will review this information and discuss your goals before beginning treatment. This consultation ensures your session addresses your specific needs safely and effectively.
We recommend avoiding heavy meals immediately before your appointment. A light snack is acceptable if you are hungry, but a full stomach may cause discomfort while lying on the massage table.
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. First-time clients should allow additional time to complete intake paperwork. Arriving late may result in a shortened session to accommodate subsequent appointments.
Communicate openly with your therapist throughout your session. If the pressure is too intense, the room temperature is uncomfortable, or anything else concerns you, inform your practitioner immediately. Your comfort and satisfaction are our priorities.
